Sniffles and sneezes
While all of you in the northern hemisphere can look forward to a glorious summer, down south we’re heading into the cold. Temperatures have been dropping for the past two weeks and there’s a definite chill in the air during the evenings. Plus, I have a cold (first, and hopefully last, of the season).
Ever since last week Wednesday I’ve been feeling light-headed and nauseous, but it finally hit me in all its glory last night and today. The muscle aches, burning eyes, scratchy throat, you name it, and I’ve got it. Plus a realy charming cough. So I’m going to go home now and get into a hot bath, make hot toddy* and lie on the couch in my pyjamas and watch television.
* A sure thing for kicking a cold in the pants. Take a coffee mug and put in: a tot of whiskey, tablespoon of honey, a teaspoon of ground ginger and hot water (as hot as you can stand). Drink it, go lie down and cover yourself up.

Ouch, I’ve been sick, but not this sick. Hope you feel better soon.
